At a Glance: Lower Columbia College is accepting applications for a Food Service Worker Lead. This position serves as lead employee in food preparation, serving, dishwashing and sanitization functions and overall kitchen organization for Early Learning Center program.This position is categorized as a Food Service Worker Lead, under State of Washington Class Specification and is overtime-eligible. This is an 11-month position with a typical schedule of 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The Food Service Work Lead reports to the Early Learning Center Program Director. Please note that there will be a 3% COLA applied to the salary range effective July 1, 2024.Check us out on Facebook and Instagram!
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Serves as lead employee in food preparation, serving, dishwashing and sanitization functions for Early Learning Center programPrepares and cooks USDA meals and snacksMeasures, prepares, and serves meals to meet special diet requirementsPerforms cleaning duties; washes dishes and utensils; walls and counters in kitchen, wipes down shelves and other storage areas.Operates standard kitchen appliances and equipment such as rice cooker, hot plate, oven, electric skillet, toaster, sanitizer, etc.Receives and stocks food from vendorsRotates and inventories food & supplies weeklyCarefully monitors meals for allergens and provides substitutions for children with allergies and intolerancesUse inventory system to assist with food purchaseOther duties as assignedThis description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, effort, work conditions, and benefits associated with the job.
